Please Play Responsibly, South Carolina.

The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) seeks to increase public awareness of problem gambling.

Responsible play is a very important concept to SCEL. The General Assembly appropriates lottery funds to provide the resources necessary to get help for or prevent future gambling problems. On this site you will find information on playing responsibly and recognizing the signs of problem gambling, including a quiz to determine if you have a gambling problem.

If you think someone in your home has a problem, take the quiz to determine if you are living with a problem gambler and read tips for family and friends. If you determine you need assistance, on this website you will find treatment information, treatment locations, meeting schedules for Gambler's Anonymous and Gam-Anon, and an avenue to contact a counselor on our contact page. Answers to common problem gambling concerns are addressed in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) portion of the website.

Please remember, help is available for problem gamblers and their families.  Treatment is confidential, but more importantly, it is effective.
